Wingwalking for Seesaw · 7 June 2019

SeeSaw provides support to children, young people and their families when someone close to them is dying or has died. We have 25 years experience in providing high quality grief support to help reduce the emotional, psychological and mental health consequences of bereavement.

Story

Wing walking has been on my 'to-do' list for many years and I was challenged recently to go for it this year.  Ok I thought this will be fine until I found out you don't just stand there! Oh no the plane will do a couple of manoeuvres, the rush of air on take off will take my breath away and oh yes I'll get splattered by flies; plus there's the challenge that I've also got to lose a couple of stone to be under the maximum weight limited.

To be fair that was nearly me done except for two little factors: I mentioned it to some mates and 10 of them have a greed to do it for me. Plus we have agreed to raise a shed load of money for Seesaw who are just one of the most amazing local Oxfordshire charity helping children who have lost a parent or sibling...yes even I can see the irony in doing something so mad for a charity like this!!
