Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I took up running less than 2 years ago, and before that, I had never run in my life, a part from some disastrous attempts in school. I thought running was not something for me and that was it. Somebody mentioned the couch to 5k programme to me, as something that could have helped me improve both my mental and physical health. I started the programme and, in less than 3 months, I was able to run 5k. Running has proved incredibly beneficial for my mental health, and after hitting the 10k goal, I decided to set myself a more ambitious one.
I have been training for the past 6 months, with some ups and lots of downs due to health problems. But I have kept going and I now know that I could't have done more than what I did.
I'll be running for Porridge and Pens, a charity providing food and education to the children of Kumasi, Ghana. I myself sponsor a girl through their amazing Girl power programme and I know how much Porridge and Pens has improved the lives of those children.
Just to give you an idea of what can be done thanks to your support:
If you happen to be in London on Sunday 14th October, please come say hi, I will need all your support!
