EPILEPSY WALES

We work throughout Wales to support people affected by epilepsy

Story

On 25 September 2011, we'll be doing a sponsored walk from Rhymney Bridge to Caerffili Castle, a journey of around 18 miles covering the whole of Cwm Rhymni/Rhymney Valley. Some will do the whole journey whilst others will do what they can.

We aim to raise as much money as possible for Epilepsy Wales, the charity for epilepsy sufferers, their carers and families in Wales. As some of you may know, we did a similar thing last year, walking the 27 miles from Heath Hospital, Cardiff, to Prince Charles Hospital, Merthyr Tydfil, raising almost £6k in the process (Owain is pictured with Glamorgan cricketer Mike Powell opposite, with a cheque for almost £5.5k, minus the cut for the good people at JustGiving).

This was brought about after five year old son, Owain, was diagnosed with benign epilepsy. Although this is one of the milder strains of epilepsy, there are young children, teenagers and adults with far more severe cases. All contributions, large or small, are gratefully received for this important, yet largely unpublicised charity. PLEASE TICK THE GIFT AID BOX. Diolch yn fawr/Many thanks.
