Story
We did it! In 1 hour, 4 minutes and 41 seconds! And what an amazing day it was. There was a lot of rain and we were very nervous walking up to the start line. But once we got going we had fun, enjoyed the London sights and each others company. Our families stood in the rain but they enjoyed the excellent atmosphere too. The chairman, Dave Gorden meet us after the race to thank us but I also wanted to pass on the message to you all.

Hi!
Thank you for visit my JustGiving page for my first 10k run in 10 years. I will be running for The Book Bus Foundation together with my friend Olatz. I’m particularly excited to be part of the British 10k London run because I did it 10 years ago for the Golden Jubilee. I will pass some of London's many fantastic landmarks like the London Eye and St. Paul's Cathedral.
I am also excited about being part of raising £3000.00 for The Book Bus Foundation and their projects in Zambia, Malawi and Ecuador. The Book Bus Foundation currently provides a mobile library service for children from disadvantaged communities and families in Zambia, Malawi and Ecuador. Our Book Buses tour schools, hospitals and orphanages to promote reading and storytelling to children who would otherwise have little or no access to books.Their aim is to spread literacy and joy of reading to children in Africa and South America. If you would like to learn more about The Book Bus Foundation and read about all the great work they do you can have a look at their wonderful website: website: http://www.thebookbus.org/.
I really appreciate that you have taken the time to read about my run and The Book Bus Foundation. I have pledge to raise £250.00 for the Foundation and I would be more than grateful if you could help me raise the money.
