Hi all

As most of you know, I have Myalgic Encephalomyelitis also known as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. This is a long term condition & chronic illness that causes intense debilitating fatigue, muscle weakness, migraines & headaches, cognitive problems, digestive problems, pain all over the body, flu like symptoms & many other debilitating symptoms. As of yet, there is no cure. 

Both men & women of all ages have M.E. I am just one in millions many of which haven't yet had the dignity of a diagnosis because many doctors refuse to accept this condition is a real condition & often claim that it is all in the mind, while many specialists, scientists & doctors are slowly making much awaited progress in finding evidence for this condition & possible precipating factors.

I was diagnosed about a year & half ago after years of being dismissed & told I was crazy or that nothing was wrong with me. Thankfully I found this charity website which offered me the support & information I needed to take to my doctor to help me in getting diagnosed & in turn getting the support I needed. It has also enabled me to understand my body better & how to help myself rather than being in the dark about what to do to move forward. Being diagnosed hasn't taken all the symptoms away but it has brought clarity, peace & a sense of purpose & connection as I have developed friendships & relationships with those going through the same experience.

It's my birthday on the 17th of March & while I'm not someone to publicly make a big fuss, as I approach this birthday I feel incredibly blessed & incredibly grateful & that's why I'd love to raise some money for Action for M.E. Any donation would be hugely appreciated! They say if you don't ask, you don't don't get! - So please may I ask for a donation towards this charity. 💛
