We support people living with RA and JIA to be able to live the life they want to

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. For the 4th year in a row I will be raising funds for NRAS. We are pushing an amazing woman called Helly around the 13 mile course in a wheelchair. Helly typifies the courageous attitude of many NRAS members. Although she has had RA since childhood with a number of operations needed on her joints, she puts herself through the gruelling course in order to raise funds for NRAS. It is an honour to be able to push her around!

As a consultant rheumatologist I have witnessed a revolution in the care I can offer for this disease in the past two decades. However, although treatments have improved substantially, this disease cannot be cured, and remains a life long challenge for most people. I need to work in teams to support people, and a vital component of that team is NRAS, the patient support organisation. They offer help and assistance that I cannot, and it is a great pleasure to be able to pay them back for the work they do.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity. Please give generously.
