Story

I have worked in the health and wellness field for over a decade as a life coach, gym owner (Charlotte Magazine BOB 2018) and now,
the President of Unnecessary Wellness. I am an Arizona native and attended Arizona State University. Fork ‘em Devils!

I am dedicated to delivering achievable holistic wellness strategies to my clients. My education as a Strength and Conditioning Coach and Sports Nutritionist takes myself and my clients far beyond
the weight room, on to the yoga mat and into the Farmers Market’s. Unnecessary Wellness provides Human Resources wellness programs for several corporations and private school curriculums.

I am a father of two beautiful children. I love to take my 5 year old son fishing. I love football, music and especially love taking my friends and loved ones to see the Charlotte Hornets play at The Hive!

I am dedicating my time at Be Amazing Weekend to Sheila Britts Murphy, my mother’s best friend, amazing woman with a heart for God, and a breast cancer Survivor currently battling another type of cancer today.

About the charity

Carolina Breast Friends (CBF) provides support and services to people from all walks of life who are affected by breast cancer. Recognizing the power of engaging with people "who have been where you are going," CBF offers what no one else in Charlotte does: connection and mentoring among breast cancer Survivors. Because until there's a cure, there's care. Carolina Breast Friends operates from the Pink House, a place of serenity and support where all breast cancer Survivors are welcome and supported wherever they are in their journey. All of the programs are completely free, so CBF relies on donations and volunteerism to support its mission and work. Carolina Breast Friends is a 501c(3) nonprofit organization. www.carolinabreastfriends.org
