Through my employer, Linklaters LLP, I have been very lucky to be granted a place to run the 2021 London Marathon as part of #TeamQCT, for The Queen’s Commonwealth Trust.

The QCT is a growing network of young change-makers across the Commonwealth. Its platform is a place where smart ideas and insights are shared, to demonstrate that change can be brought about by anyone, anywhere. Where lived experience is valued, and voices otherwise crowded out, can be heard. A place that sparks optimism and inspiration, where more and more people feel motivated and confident to step up and take positive action.

Having not run in an organised race since 2016, I am excited to be tackling the challenging training plan and long weekend runs to arrive at the start line, in Greenwich Park, on 3 October for my first full marathon.

With your kind donations, the QCT can continue to champion, fund and connect young leaders who are working hard to change the world.
