I am taking on a big challenge by running the London marathon 2018, I am raising money for the Children's Burns Club based at Broomfield Hospital Chelmsford.  

As some of you may know I work as a Nurse on the Burns Intensive care unit at Broomfield Hospital which means I see the devastating effects that a burn injury can have on both patients and their families.

The Burns Children's Club is a charity that offers support to young burn survivors and their families to help them come to term with burns trauma and altered body image. This support helps them to build self esteem, confidence and expectations after a burn injury and creates a place where children and parents don't feel judged.  The Burns Club Organises day trips, camps and support groups that provides the much needed support network for children and their families.

As a working mother with two young children this will be a enormous challenge but it is for such a great cause and I am very motivated to undertake it. I feel privileged to be given this opportunity and really hope I can successfully raise money for the Children's Burns Club.
