My partners mum, Wendy, was diagnosed with bone-marrow Cancer, when he & his older brother were just 2 & 4 years old.

If it wasn't for Anthony Nolan & a remarkable guy that selflessly donated, they as a family, could have had an entirely different life. The boys, Dan & Sam, were facing a life potentially being motherless at a very young age when their mother fell very ill. Their dad, Charlie, was also facing a future possibly losing the love of his life, the mother to his young boys & raising them without their mum.

They are all eternally grateful to Anthony Nolan & her donor, for helping save them from such a future, that fateful day that Anthony Nolan found her a donor will always be etched in her mind. The family have since done many things to support & raise awareness for such a worthy cause. After all she is living proof that it can genuinely save precious lives & families. This kind, selfless, wonderful woman has been given the chance to have 25 years & many more to go with her family and now Grandchildren. They were able to live the life’s they had begun to
build, the ones that could have been ruthlessly cut short & taken from
them.

She & her family will be joining me to take part in walking together for
Anthony Nolan. We are inviting all of you to get involved, in any way you can.
