Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit our page.

We invite you to take and share a 'Christmas selfie for Alfie' on Friday the 18th December 2020 to support all Children affected by DIPG, and to help raise funds for future research.

Our precious little boy, Alfie, earned his Angel wings in June 2014, after a brave 11 month battle with a paediatric brain tumour called Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG) Alfie Bear is forever 6 years old.

* 40 Children are diagnosed with DIPG every year in the UK.

* DIPG has less than 1% Survival Rate.

* DIPG is Inoperable and Currently Incurable.

Knowing how much our Alfie loved Christmas, we think this is a lovely way to remember him at Christmastime, and to remember/honour all children and their families affected by this devastating disease .

Simply take a festive selfie and kindly donate to this page on the day. You can also nominate family and friends to do the same. Please use the hashtags; #ChristmasSelfie4Alfie #DIPGAWARENESS when posting to help spread more awareness.

Everyone is welcome to join in. Individuals, schools, workplaces and pets :-)

All proceeds from the day go to Alfie Bear's Journey Fund - The Brain Tumour Charity to support DIPG Research.

If you will be taking a Selfie for Alfie or perhaps a group photo wearing your christmas jumpers, then please feel free to share them on our Facebook page. We would love to see them!

Studies have shown that more children are loosing their lives to Brain Cancer than any other Cancer here in the UK, yet paediatric Brain Tumour Research remains extremely underfunded!

"Together we can help make a difference."

Thank you for your support.

Wishing you all a lovely Christmas
