Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On 14 to 17 june 2012, i will be taking part in the Football League Arch to Arc bike ride raising money for the Help the Hospices. We will be cycling from Wembley Stadium to the Arc de Triomphe, covering some 245 miles over 3 days.
I'll give you a moment to get over the shock for those of you who know me!!
While initally the motivation for the ride was to challange myself and in so doing raise money for charity, it was with great sadness that i was informed by one of my best friends Natasha that her mother had passed away after a long battle with cancer. Victoria was a wonderful lady and her family have kindly let me honour her memory by dedicating this ride to her.
The family have also informed me of the wonderful help the hospices were in the last few weeks of her illness. So anything you can donate will be greatly appriciated and will go towards helping provide invaluable care for the terminally or long term ill.
If you would like to learn more about Help the Hospices then please watch this video that shows the amazing work they do to support hospices around the country. www.helpthehospices.org.uk/about-us/
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
I know time are hard, but for some they will always be harder. If it's only a quid that's fine it all counts towards the target I need raise to be part of this wonderful challange, but if you can dig a little deeper that would be brillant. Please donate now if you can.
If you would like to keep track of my training, the ride and how it went, then please feel free to come back and visit this page as hopefully i shall be updating it on a regular basis.
Thanking you all in advance. Christophe.
