My wonderful mother already had to deal with breast cancer twice in her life.  So did my grandmother and my aunt.  And our family is not exceptional by any means (cf. stats section below).

First of all, as much as I'd love to tell you how big a contributor to cancer research I am, I really can't.  I haven't taken part in walks and other running events (which I find commendable to those who do).  I haven't even participated to the Movember movement (just yet!).  

All I have really have been doing is donating a small amount of money on a monthly basis to a couple of other charities for over 15 years, like dozens of thousands of other people in the UK.

==========ONEPLUS 6 GIVING==========

First of all, I'm keen to clarify the context of my initiative: nobody knew about it, I am not sponsored by or affiliated in any way with OnePlus or any other brands and it is only going to work if I manage to be one of the very first people in line at OnePlus' pop up store tomorrow, Monday 21st May 2018.

I love tech and smartphones in particular. Hence the unique opportunity offered by this event.

Shamelessly, I am hoping to leverage as much visibility as possible from the media coverage of the event.  Unarguably, this is not an Apple product launch with thousands of people queueing.  Nevertheless, OnePlus' fan community and subsequently the crowds at OP events are made of very passionate tech enthusiasts and some of the most vocal ones online too.

My aim is to give away the very first #OnePlus6 sold in the UK: ideally, I'll buy the top of the line Midnight Black model (8GB of RAM + 256GB of storage).

But that's not all.  To make the give away really appealing, I'm hoping that some  amazing people will sign on its back including well-known UK-based tech Youtubers and  possibly a high profile OP Exec...

==========HOW TO ENTER THE GIVEAWAY==========

It is simple: just give any multiple of £5 to get a chance to win.  For instance, £5 gives you 1 chance to win, £10 gives you 2 chances, £50 gives you 10 chances, etc.

Please note that all amounts are welcome: £1 contributions will also add up and make a difference!

The campaign page will run from 21st May to 21st June (pushed from 4th June).

At the end of the campaign, I will take into account all the donations, add as many entries earned as required (based on the amount of your donation) and I will use a third party tool like http://random-ize.com/pick-from-list/ to pick the winner(s).

Depending on the final numbers of additional goodies, we might have several winners indeed.
