Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My brother and father have been patients of the Oncology department at The Churchill Hospital Oxford. My brother is in remission for a type of lymphoma. My dad has a male cancer which is being controlled by drugs.
The hospital is a regional centre for cancer care and spends many hours and budget on research and the development of new therapies. The Churchill is part of the Oxford University Hospitals NHS trust and includes the Nuffield, Horton and Oxford Radcliffe Hospitals in Oxfordshire. Without their kindness and care my relatives would be in a far worse position. Happily, both are feeling "fine" at the present time!
In order to "pay it forward" I will walk around the Circle Line in London on the 11th September 2016.. I will begin and end the walk at Victoria, andaccording to various sources the walk will be about 14 miles long. Those who know me know I am not the athletic type, and hate exercise! But exercise has been shown to help reduce cancer risk, so I may well do myself some good.
Just Giving pay Oxford Radcliffe Charitable Funds direct, your card details are totally secure and Just Giving do not pass your details to third parties. I know many people from work and within my family. If everyone gave just £10 will be well on my way to my target, but if you give more, then thank you so much.
