Dacorum Community Trust is a small, independent charity serving the Dacorum area since 1976. We provide practical support for local people in crisis, acting as a last resort when the assistance they need is not available elsewhere.

Story

As you probably know by now John and I are expecting a new addition to our family in early October .. everyone wants to have a guess at what baby will be so we thought we would make it official and raise some money for a good cause.

Over 200 people liked and commented on our announcement, so lets see how many want to play along.

Here are the rules:

Please make a donation of at least £1

Give me 3 guesses 1) Sex 2) Date of Birth 3) for the tie breaker - bubs weight.

The proceeds all go to the Trust and the winner gets a lovely bottle of bubbles (unless you are abroad and then I will work something out)!

Why the Dacorum Community Trust? I am privileged to be a Trustee of this very special little charity which helps  people in need in our community. For all of my life I have been taught to help those less fortunate, so baby Furnell-Williams can start before it is even born.

In the charities 40th year we are aiming to raise £40,000 and every little helps. This money will go directly to helping people in real need.. sometimes even a few pounds can make all the difference. Supporting a woman escaping domestic violence, helping buy a child a new school uniform so they don't get bullied, or helping a job seeker with steel toe capped boots to get them back to work and a million other small grants. That's where your money will be going.

So please give generously, John, Bean and I would be very grateful. So will the people that you help.
