We are moving further, faster to help everyone affected by a brain tumour

Story

Hi! I’m looking to all you beautiful people to donate to a completely worthwhile and massively under-funded cause, The Brain Tumour Charity.

Con and I are usually very private people, but sometimes you need to reach out to your friends. 10 months ago our lives were turned upside down when Con was diagnosed, completely out of the blue, with a brain tumour. This year has been tough, to say the least, with an operation, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, a clinical trial, and a few hospital admissions along the way.

As you can imagine, Con being the amazing, strong, kind, considerate, determined man he is, has remained positive and resilient throughout, not moaned once, and has only ever been concerned about me and the kids. And he’s fighting this all the way. WE WILL NOT BACK DOWN!

With the recent loss of a good friend we had made along the way, we have been inspired to raise money for this charity that needs your help. Every year, 16,000 people are diagnosed with a brain tumour. Nobody is immune. Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer. And only 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease. Ridiculous, really!

I would have loved to have taken part in the Twilight Walk in Edinburgh this weekend, however, as if I didn’t have enough going on, I’m back at uni for a year in a bid to become a primary school teacher and am pretty busy! So the kids, Con and I have decided to organise our own walk. Details have yet to be confirmed, but since the weather is looking good for Saturday, we might just get our walking shoes on then!

Any donation would be greatly received, and if you can share this far and wide, I’d really appreciate it too.

Apologies to anyone finding out this way. And one thing I would ask for is NO SYMPATHY.... POSITIVITY ONLY!!💫💫💫

Also, a huge thank you to all our family and friends who have supported us these past 10 months - you know who you are. Without you, I don’t know where we’d be.

From Con, Daisy, Rory and myself, a huge thank you in advance.

❤ Be kind to one another, take every opportunity that comes your way, and give your loved ones an extra big hug tonight ❤
