I was lucky enough to get a ballot place to run the London marathon (rare as hens teeth). However, since then a dear friend of mine has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. She has been incredible over the last few months and I’d like to run this in support of her. During her cancer journey she has been supported and expertly treated by the wonderful Exmouth Hospiscare staff. The charity provides this care in my local community and runs entirely by charitable donations.

This is likely to be my last marathon so I’ve decided to see if I can help this charity and play a part in keeping it going.

Running 26.2 miles is not easy. I’m busy training, which is not that fun at times. However, my discomfort and inconvenience pales into significance compared to what my dear friend is going through. So, this ones for you J. For you and your beautiful family. Love you xx
