I started fundraising for The Legion back in 2017, when I got a place in London Marathon. I wanted to give back to the charity that helped my friend, Daniel in the months following his tragic accident in Basra, Iraq in 2003 during the first few weeks of conflict.

The support and compassion shown by these proud veterans to another soldier was truly humbling. 

I am now a member of The Legion and a proud poppy seller. I have since run The Great North run for this cause, and to date have raised £3600 (inc giftaid)

So this year I’m running Manchester Marathon, and I’d love to raise another £400 to get me over the £4K total for this great British charity. This year the money will be going direct to The Stamford Branch Poppy Appeal
