As some of you know Mum recently succumbed to the effects of Dementia. First hand it's the most horibble desiese you can imagine. To slowly lose your loved ones gradually and over a number of years knowing the inevitable will come is soul destroying for the whole family. For the sufferer the effects vary as the desiese destroys the conections in the brain. This leads to not only loss of memory but violence, confusion, basic functions like washing or going to the bathroom.
1 in 3 over 65's in the UK will die with some form of Dementia. The research into it is massively underfunded despite being the number one killer of women in the UK. Its responsible for three times more deaths than breast cancer and kills thousands more than stroke or heart attack.
Please if you can afford to, give a little to help find a cure.
Thank you for taking the time to read my page.
