In July this year we will cycle from London to Paris - 300 miles over 4 days - to raise money for the Yorkshire Cancer Centre.  

So far our cycling together has always been planned around tea and cake stops rather than speed or distance challenges. Cycling from London to Paris will certainly be a step up for both of us.  Much training will be required!

The tired legs and sore seats will all be worth it knowing that we are raising valuable funds for a worthy cause.

Yorkshire Cancer Centre is the fundraising arm of St James's Institute of Oncology in Leeds (where Emma works as a Consultant Oncologist). The Centre provides a range of cancer services to 2000 patients per day from across Yorkshire.  Money raised contributes to providing specialist medical equipment, research and education programmes and patient home comforts. 

We have already paid £1000 between us to help fund our trip so that more of your contributions will go straight to the charity and the work they do to care for people with this indiscriminate disease.
