As an animal lover and volunteer for Animal Equality, I'm running the
marathon for the animals, because they need people, like those who work at animal equality, to speak out against the abuse they can suffer.

Having always been an animal lover I was drawn to Animal Equality. It has taken me sometime to become conscious of the many ways in which animals suffer cruelty, but this has always been something I've stood against.

Animal Equality works on behalf of animals to stop and prevent cruelty to all animals. The work they do is critical in preventing unnecessary suffering of dogs, cats, pigs, cows, sheep, chickens, chicks, geese and many more animals. 

Through the investigations that they have run have uncovered and illuminated animal abuse, which has further helped inform the legislative process in several countries. Their approach to educate and work cohesively with society has had a huge impact and was one which continues to resonate.
