Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Us two Cousins have decided to challenge ourselves and cycle Coast to Coast over the 23-24th June 2012.  The route is the Hadrian's Cycleway from North Shields to Ravenglass and covers a total distance of 174 miles.

Day One consists of a 110 mile cycle from North Shields to Kirkbride, taking in Newcastle, Hexham and the much feared 256m summit of Smith's Shield!

Day Two is only 64 miles and starts from Kirkbride.  The route then takes us across the coastal resort of Silloth and then down the Cumbrian coast through Maryport, Workington and Whitehaven and finishing in Ravenglass.  

About the charity

HaNC (part of the Aintree University Hospital Charity umbrella) aims to support those affected by this type of cancer; to raise awareness; and to fund research carried out by the clinicians at the Mersey Regional Head and Neck Cancer Centre into the causes and possible future treatments.
