This year will see me hit the big 50. To honour this special occasion I'm carrying out some very special challenges that will push my body to the limit.

Some of you maybe aware of my recent flipper walking exploits. Well,  I've gone for something sensible this time, well sort of. Dec 18 saw me take up running. Rather scary, as I hadn't ran since I was at school a mere 33 years ago! It was one of those things I put off, as I believed I couldn't do it. I'm so glad I did, as I love it, well maybe the short runs. I feel I need to test my physical endurance by carrying out the following events (Oh, the flippers will be back for a swansong):- 

Event 1 SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED: from the 17th April 19 I will attempt to carry out x50 10 mile runs over 50 consecutive days. With a twist runs 5, 15, 25, 35, 45 and 50 will be more challenging and these will require me to run more miles with the aim is to run a marathon on run 50. 

Event 2 SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED 3rd August 2019 : I will flipper walk 31 miles from Anfield Stadium, Liverpool to  Old Trafford Stadium,  Manchester. 

Event 3 SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED 11 October 2019 Blackpool to Manchester 51 mile walk. 

The important bit. The Christie are one of the leading cancer centres in Europe. They make a huge difference to patients and their families from the UK. I've known so many people who have been touched by this absolutely cruel disease. Some are still with us and unfortunately some are not. We can all make a difference by supporting me with what I'm undertaking this year.
