Story
On 24 November 2017, I will be taking part in Roundabout Sheffield's annual sleep out, which will take place at 92 Burton Road, Sheffield - the home of the city's famous Peddler Night Market.
Roundabout Sheffield is a long-standing beneficiary of efforts from myself and my family-run business, DBL Logistics - we've raised thousands of pounds for the charity over the years.
A number of our team, including myself and our sales director, Earl Robinson, have taken part in fundraising events for a charity which supports more than 150 young people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness across Sheffield each day.
This year's event will feature games, food and entertainment, but after midnight the real challenge will begin when we all spend the night sleeping rough.
While an event like this can’t possibly replicate the conditions faced by those who are lonely, frightened and homeless, it will go some way to raise awareness and much-needed funds for Roundabout to continue to help those who sleep rough every night.
I hope to raise more than £500 for this fantastic cause - please give generously.
