The DENS Dacorum Foodbank is in urgent need of funds to continue operating. While the generous donations of food from people across Dacorum enable us to provide this service, money  is also required to cover running costs such as staff salaries, transport, premises, heating, lighting, computer and phone costs.

Last year the Dacorum Foodbank provided support to 3574 people in Dacorum. Most of the people who were helped, 72%, only needed one food parcel to see them through a short term crisis and only 3% required support on more than 3 occasions. A typical response came from one grateful recipient who told us "We could not have managed without the food parcel. It enabled the family to eat during a period of crisis when we could not afford to put food on the table for our children".
