We provide specialist care to children with life-limiting illness

Story

Each year, the proceeds from collections during our afternoon and evening Carol Services are donated to worthy charitable causes. The pandemic has again led to the Down High School Carol Service being held virtually. Our pupils and the Music Department have
been working hard to prepare music to celebrate the Christmas message.

The service will be recorded in the beautiful Down Cathedral in early December and we will provide information about the on-line premiere of the Carol Service in the near future.

This year, we are asking parents, pupils, staff, Old Dunumians and friends of the school to donate to the Northern Ireland’s Children’s Hospice. The incredible staff of the Children’s Hospice care for hundreds of children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions every year.

Please give generously to this very special cause.

About the charity

This year at Northern Ireland Children's Hospice we cared for over 370 children and young people with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions, in both our inpatient unit - Horizon House and in the local community. We rely on your generous donations to continue to fund our vital services.
