The shows are at 11am or 2pm on Sunday 24th March (3 days after World Down's Syndrome Awareness Day) at Telferscot School, Balham, and last approximately one hour. Tickets are £10 for adults and children aged over two years old. There will be lunch, cakes and refreshments available to purchase and a raffle. Please use this site to pay for the tickets (unless you can give Mel or Natalia the money directly). If you could explain how many tickets you want, for which performance and give the name of the lead person in your group that would be perfect. If you can't come and want to make a donation then please go to the main justgiving site so that the charity can claim giftaid. https://www.justgiving.com/downssouthlondon
For those who have already bought tickets:
Thank you so much for buying tickets for the Singing Hands concert in Telferscot Primary School on Sunday 24th March. Performances last around an hour and are at 11am and 2pm with a chance to meet Suzanne and Tracy after each performance. Amongst other songs, they are planning to sing 'I love my life' by Robbie Williams. Here is the link to the video that they made on you tube (you may recognise some of the backing singers):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0XpFcXSnUnc They have suggested that if you want to, you could learn the song/signs and join Suzanne and Tracy on stage. I know that Zac and Daisy will be right up there. You may want to consider wearing a DSL/Singing Hands T-shirt if you have one.
Logistics: The entrance is on the Radbourne Road side of Telferscot Primary School, a 15 min walk from Balham tube station. Post code for the school is SW12 0HW (but this directs you to Telferscot Road and not Radbourne Road). I will be on the gate with the names of those that have booked tickets. My phone number is 07779 282930. Dom's number is 07769681422. Please come at least 15 minutes before the performance so that we can start on time.
Refreshments: there will be teas, coffees, cake, snacks and lunch items available to purchase so come early for your performance or stay on afterwards. We are still looking for bakers so please let me know if you can contribute (no nuts).
Silent Auction: we have tickets for Hampton Court Palace, the Dior exhibition at the V&A, the Tower of London and a personal training session in South London for up to 6 people given by SOUL ltd. Please bid on the items that you fancy. Remember all for a good cause.
We also have a few young children's Down's South London T-shirts to sell.
All money raised will go to support the wonderful charity Down's South London which provides speech therapy, physiotherapy and OT to children with Down's Syndrome in South London.
Thank you so much for supporting this wonderful day.
