Story

Thanks for visiting our page.

As some of you will know Chris Ratter and I were original members of Race2Recovery war wounded rally charity team, the first ever amputee team to complete the Dakar in 2013.

Two years have passed since our first success and the itch for a tough challenge has once again gripped us.  This year we've joined Rally Raid international, a British Pro-Am team who participate in the Dakar every year as well as other rally raid events.  We're completely self funded, along with some great corporate supporters, who enable us to wave the british flag on the event.  But as a former soldier it's important to me to try and raise charitable funds when we do these events and this year is no exception.

The event itself is really tough, almost at times impossible.  So it's good to have the added bonus of raising funds for such a worthwhile cause. This year were trying to raise money for the Royal Hospital Chelsea better know as the Chelsea Pensioners.  They are a remarkable collection of veterans, many having served in the Second World War or conflicts that are passing from memory but their sacrifices are not forgotten.

Any money raised will go to the upkeep of the RHC, which has some state funding but relies heavily upon charitable donations.  They are looking to extend the capacity of the accommodation, as more and more ex-service personnel call on the facilities of the RHC, we hope to support them in this endeavour.

You can follow us on the Royal Hospital Chelsea website, we also hope to post a few updates in early January during the race.  Anything you can give will be very gratefully received, I can assure you it really is as tough as everyone says and we will certainly be earning our charitable donations in both blood, sweat and tears!

Thank you Charles Sincock
