Hi Guys, 

I am cutting and donating my hair to the Rapunzel Charity to raise funds for the Irish Cancer Society. I have decided to do this as this cause is one that is very important not just to me but millions of patients affected by cancer.

 My Mum had beautiful long hair.She always looked after her hair and loved going to the hair dressers as she said it made her feel good. When her hair began to fall out with the treatment she took the brave decision to have it shaved off. She hid it from us as she did not want to scare us. She then decided to have a wig. Some of them were good and some were not so good. The real hair felt softer. After her death I thought that I could and would have my hair cut to have a wig made. I wanted to help some more and discussed the idea of raising money at the same time.

Losing hair has a significant affect and I know personally how the loss of hair can affect a cancer patient. It affects their self esteem and confidence. So by donating my hair I can help one person have a real human hair wig. My wish is to raise funds to help find a cure for cancer.
