I am raising money for the charity Victims First Northumbria by giving my delicate tootsies a bit of a treat (or trauma) and walking across some rather hot coals, as well as taking part in trying to smash a World Record attempt for the most people doing a Firewalk.  Pretty cool stuff! 

Working for Victims First Northumbria I see first hand the often incredible impact they can have on a victim of crime whether it be an elderly person having been burgled in their own home and is now scared to sleep, a person suffering domestic violence who has no where to turn and just feels they should put up with it, or a victim of hate crime, being abused and targeted because of their personal beliefs, choices or preferences.

Often we are a lifeline to these people and more, offering support and above all hope that things will get better and we can help them through this.

Every penny raised from this will go towards supporting more victims of crime:

£5 will provide security items to victims worried about their personal safety,

£10 will pay for travel to visit vulnerable people in their own home to offer support 

£20 will hep provide all round general support to anyone suffering as a result of crime and make specialist referrals where needed..
