Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As some of you may know, towards the end of last year I tried to get into running. It wasn't going too badly, but Christmas has taken it's toll on my waistline - and I'm a long way from the point I had reached.

So, to celebrate my man boobs, I'm embarking on a challenge. I'm going to run three marathons in three months in three different cities.

(It's probably important to know at this stage that I've never run a marathon in my life)

So on April 10 I will be in Manchester to do the... well... Manchester Marathon - feel free to come along and cheer for me as I cross the finish line at Old Trafford.

Then, on May 2 I'll be running around more familiar surroundings as I try to conquer the Belfast Marathon.

If I'm still alive at that stage - which I will be - I'll be doing the Walled City Marathon in Derry on June 5 - completing the trio and hopefully raising a huge amount of money along the way.

I'm lucky in that I get to spend each and every day with my little boy. He's absolutely my pride and joy and I can't imagine anything different. However, some people aren't as lucky as I am - and the cruellest disease of all - cancer - affects a lot of children.

I'm looking to raise money for those who help make that situation less difficult. The fantastic staff at Clic Sergeant that are there by parents' side at every step - helping to make an awful situation that little bit better.

It's going to take a lot of commitment, training and discipline to do these marathons, but if I can raise enough money to know that I've helped a family in their time of need, then that's all the incentive necessary.
