As you probably know, I am not, nor have I ever been any good at running, in fact I'd say that I'm probably more 'built for comfort, not for speed'.  But I've decided to run the Leeds 10K to try and raise a small amount of money for Leeds Mind, and maybe a little bit of awareness about mental health at the same time. 

I'm hoping to get round the Leeds 10K course in under an hour, what's that you say? "You must be mental", well it's funny you should say that...

Mental health issues can affect anyone at any time (trust me, I know!) and one in four of us will experience a mental health problem in our lifetime.  It's good to know that organisations like Mind are not only there to help, support and advise, they are also trying to break down the stigma that surrounds mental health.
