M.E. Association Fundraising Events 2021 · 1 January 2021

The ME Association campaigns hard to get ME recognised as a severe neurological illness. Our helpline provides essential information and support to adults and children who have ME/CFS, and to their families and carers. We also fund biomedical research into the physical nature and causes of ME/CFS.

Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my fundraising page.

My name is David Webb and I have decided to raise funds and awareness of Myalgic Encephalomyelitis.  My wife Kellie Webb is just one of the millions of people that suffer daily with the illness.  Unfortunately, there is little research being done in finding treatment, or even research in understanding the condition further.  Having witnessed the effects that it has on my wife and having to see her on a daily basis struggle with M.E, I would like to raise as much money as possible so then the charity can take further steps to find a solution and to help sufferers live their lives whilst having the condition.

I have therefore, decided to take on the following to raise the funds that the charity so desperately needs:

Land's End to John o' Groats: 01/01/2021 - 31/12/2021 (874.27 Miles)

Tough Mudder North West: 05/09/2021 (10 miles and 25+ obstacles)

The Loch Ness Marathon: 03/10/2021 (26.2 miles)

I will be completing the Land's End to John o' Groats virtual run throughout 2021 and you will see the mileage counter on this page continue to increase as I attempt to run the full length of the UK (virtually), 874.27 miles in total.  You will also see the runs at the bottom of this page which is directly uploaded via Strava.

I hope to raise a special amount of money and with your generous donations, it will go a long way to raise funds for the charity as well as help the millions of sufferers that live with the condition on a daily basis.  It will also motivate me to keep going!

A massive thank you for all of your donations.  Let's change the world for the better - one step at a time.
