On the 2nd August 2013, I lost my wife, best friend and mother to my three
daughters to cancer at the age of just 42.

Sarah was diagnosed in July 2012 with primary bowel and secondary
liver cancer and although we did not know at the time she was given around 6 weeks, however a combination of chemotherapy and a trial drug extended her life by 12 months.

Sarah was treated at the Christie Hospital in Manchester where staff cared
for not only her but also me and my three daughters where nothing was
too much effort and the level of support, treatment and compassion was second
to none.

When Sarah passed away I felt I needed to give something back and to date have raised just under £23k for the Christie from events and support from family, friends, colleagues, ex colleagues and employees.

My aim now is to raise £7k by dragging my unfit dad-bod across 26.2 miles of London's streets in April this year. This will be a huge challenge for me and I'm hoping the achievement and combined target of £30k will allow me to
close a chapter of my life and start looking forward.

Any sponsorship however small (or big) will be greatly appreciated and will be used in the research of a disease that has probably touched every family across the world.
