We support young people fighting cancer to live their best life

Story

Hi Guys,

First and foremost, we would like to thank you very much for taking the time to stop by and at least consider giving to this very worthy cause.

Within the words that follow, I hope to provide you with some insight into why I have chosen to take part in this challenge, in the hope that it may inspire you to do something similar in support of those less fortunate than ourselves, or at the very least support Charlotte & me in our attempt to make a small difference.

Like most of you no doubt, I have over the years supported a diverse range of charities from animal causes, RNLI, the elderly as well as giving a big bag of change at Christmas to the same homeless person on the same street corner for five years in a row while living in Amsterdam..and participated in many a golf day supporting worthy causes.

So I am at ease in giving to good causes but would often sit back in admiration (and continue to do so) looking at those who have given their time to plan, develop and/ or take part in bigger charitable events that require sustained focus and effort and I felt it was about time I decided to become one of those people rather than a spectator.

In addition, I have had two close friends in recent times experience terrible heartache surrounding their children, one whom admirably, with the help of the worlds best medical advice, continues the daily rigour (with a smile) in trying to fathom a cure for their little one's condition and the other who lost the battle, culminating in the death of their little boy - tragic!

I think children help bridge so many gaps among us and are totally at the mercy of us as adults in helping them fight their conditions, in an attempt to lead a normal and happy life!

Everyday, I pose a 'QUOTE OF THE DAY' for my team in order to put a positive spin on the day ahead and recently I wrote - "ONE DAY YOUR LIFE WILL FLASH BEFORE YOUR EYES, SO MAKE SURE IT IS WORTH WATCHING'

To summarise...personally, I want to be able to look back and know that I didn't remain a spectator, instead I became a participant and when 'my time' comes to watch 'my lifes' video, I will feel a little more at peace with myself knowing I made a small contribution!

Donate generously please guys...its a tremendous cause!!..

Thanks

Dayle & Charlotte..x
