Thanks for supporting my fundraising.
During lockdown I will be using my daily exercise to walk 2.6 miles every day for 10 days in fancy dress around my village of Shenley in Hertfordshire culminating on what would have been the day of the London Marathon 2020.
The current Coronavirus crisis is having a direct impact on people living with cancer and for people worried about a cancer diagnosis. Screenings, treatments and referrals are postponed, jobs have been lost, face to face support is not available and many have to self isolate for extended periods of time. All these factors are increasing anxiety and stress about their health and finances and leaving people feeling isolated and alone. They need our support more than ever.
With no Government funding, Macmillan Cancer Support relies on donations to keep its vital support services open in this current crisis and to provide additional support in these difficult times. Your support will mean we can keep our support lines open, extend our online web chat, provide up to date information and support on cancer and coronavirus and provide specific new services to address the psychological impact Coronavirus is having.
