Our loving husband, father and grandfather Derek Bernstein died in a tragic accident on 23rd July 2015.

Derek was never a fan of flowers at funerals so we have decided to make a donation to Richard House Children's Hospice in his memory. Richard House provide care and respite to children suffering from life limiting illnesses and their families. They are based in East London where he grew up and need around £2m a year in donations to continue their great work.

While nothing will bring Derek back and fill the hole he has left in our lives, we know he would be proud that his friends and family used his passing to help those less fortunate than ourselves.

As you may have heard Dad's funeral has been arranged for Wednesday 12th August at 3:20pm. The service will take place at:

South Essex Crematorium

Corbets Tey
Upminster
