Update from July 2018

From 2008-11, I was on a 3-year meditation retreat. I feel very privileged to have had the opportunity to take my Dharma practice much deeper in such excellent conditions. I never felt that I was just doing the retreat for myself; I always saw it as a way of deepening what I could offer to people within Triratna. After coming back, I wanted to devote my time and energy to supporting those in Triratna who wished to deepen their Buddhist practice, especially through meditation.

 I aimed to help in all the ways I could, including running seminars, weekends, full-length retreats, producing articles and maybe books and online courses, as well as providing support for people wanting to do longer retreats or who would appreciate the opportunity of some on-going meditation mentoring. 

From 2012 to June 2018 I had very little income, but was determined to keep up my Dharma activities. I've never felt  happy about charging for the Dharma, so I decided to ‘go for broke’ and operate entirely on a dana (donations) basis. With the kind support and generosity of many of you, that has worked well.

From July 2018 onwards, my financial circumstances changed, and I was able to support myself. So I no longer need donations. Sometimes people want to give something anyway, out of gratitude, so I'm going to leave this page in place, and I'll see that any donations are well used.
