Garry was close to many of us within the diving community, both at Stoney Cove and away. His passion to share his love of diving was infectious and those who dived with him, or were taught by him, couldn't help but pick up on that every time he dived.

The twinkle in his eyes when he talked about his love of diving was something you couldn't fail to miss either. He was a great husband, brother and son, a friend, instructor, and colleague, who is and will be sadly missed by all those who knew him.

Funds being raised are for the Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland Air Ambulance, who provide a rapid response for pre-hospital care and transport. This was a cause close to Garry’s heart, and something the Dive Club @ Stoney Cove would like to continue in his memory. We all hope never to need their services, but are constantly amazed by the professional support and care the Air Ambulance provides us as divers.
