Having spent my life raising 4 beautiful children and running my own business the age of 50 has been and gone and i find myself watching friends ,family and acquaintances being struck by this awful disease. I`ve always wanted to do something ,anything to help make a difference.

And when Jan ,one of my oldest , closest friends and partner to my cousin (who sadly is no longer with us) and who i hadn`t had chance to get up with in ages, dropped in for a coffee it wasn`t long before we were reminiscing and how we needed to do something together ,and after Jan mentioned the Brazil cycle challenge ,i didn`t hesitate in joining her .

My husband enrolled me and that`s when the reality kicked in ... I hadn`t cycled in years !! ..could i do it ?

I am now committed and training has in a small way commenced ,knowing that is for a good cause ,i am preparing to give up my time and hopefully raise enough money to at least make some difference to those women that need it the most . Along the way i am hoping to meet my target , re visit an old friendship and hopefully feel a bit fitter at the end of it all !!
