I have donated to the WLT in the past and think that the work they do is vital in protecting our natural world. This marathon runs through a stunning natural location and so I thought it was all the more appropriate to raise money that will go towards conserving other important areas around the world. 

World Land Trust (WLT) is an international conservation charity, which protects the world’s most biologically important and threatened habitats acre by acre. Since its foundation in 1989, WLT has funded partner organisations around the world to create reserves, and give permanent protection to habitats and wildlife.

WLT and its project partners have been instrumental in the purchase and protection of over 500,000 acres of tropical forest and other threatened habitats through conservation projects around the world. Unlike other charities, your donation really will save real acres in real places.
