In memory of a giant of our club, Andrew McMenigall, we are undertaking a 24 hour swim.

Andrew was a true clubman who gave his time freely to help others, and at the time of his tragic death he was cycling from Land's End to John O'Groats in aid of the Kirsten Scott Memorial Trust.  As a club we wish to remember him by continuing what he started and have set ourselves the challenge to swim as far as we can in 24 hours and hopefully raise some money for a cause which was important to Andrew.

In teams of 2, 3, 4 , 6 or more each person within a team will swim for an hour at a time until the 24 hours are up.  The swim will start at 5pm on Friday 11th April and will continue until 5pm on Saturday 12th April when we will count up how far we have swum before happily going home to bed.

Any donations are much appreciated, and if you would like to enter our competition to guess the distance we will swim as a group then please leave a comment with your guess in metres when you donate.  There will be a prize for the closest guess.
