This year I am really challenging myself and doing something which, those of you who know me, will know has been a dream for a very long time.

With retirement looming I decided now is the time. 

I am going to push myself physically and mentally to swim in the cold waters of the channel with 5 others all the way from Dover to France.

I’ve started training! In the pool regularly, cold baths and in the sea on New  Years day. I will do this and just need a little help from you please. 

I will be raising money for Aspire, which is a national charity that provides practical help to spinal cord injured people, supporting them from injury to independence.
