Story

Olly was born on the 14th January 2011, with Complex Congenital Heart Defects, which were detected at the 20 week anomaly scan...

Here are Olly's Heart Defects, some extremely rare...
Double Inlet Left Ventricle (DILV) - this is where you have a large left ventricle (the pumping chamber of the heart that supplies the body with blood), and a small right ventricle (the pumping chamber that supplies the Lungs with blood).
Two AV Valves in Double Inlet Left Ventricle

Transposition of the Great Arteries (TGA) - This is where the two major vessels that carry blood away from the heart -- the aorta and the pulmonary artery -- are switched (transposed).
Pulmonary Stenosis - This is a narrowing of the Pulmonary Artery.
A Large VSD - A Hole in the Heart
Coronary Sinus Atresia - The Coronary Sinus is Sealed, meaning the deoxygenated blood is unable to flow to the heart.
Non- Compaction of Left Ventricle - This is a heart muscle condition in which the muscular wall of the main pumping chamber of the heart (the left ventricle) appears to be spongy and “non-compacted”, consisting of a meshwork of numerous muscle bands.
Tricuspid Valve Regurgitation - is where the Tricuspid Valve does not close properly, causing blood to flow backward (leak) into the right upper heart chamber (atrium) when the right lower heart chamber contracts.
Olly's Heart Condition is known as Palliative, because there is no fix or cure & the future is uncertain...
He faces multiple Open Heart surgeries & a life time of hospital visits & procedures...His first heart surgery was the Glenn Shunt, at 12 months old and the second open heart surgery (The Fontan) is planned for when Olly is 4 years old...

Olly is Our Whole World & without the hardwork, dedication, love & care from everyone at Bristol Children's Hospital Olly wouldnt be here today...

If Olly's story has touched your heart, then please make a donation today. To help the many other babies & children born with congenital heart defects like Olly... Every One in One Hundred babies are born with CHD, sadly making it the most common birth defect... CHD is incurable...

Thank You for taking your time to visit Olly's page & share his story...
