Last year my father died of Leukaemia, he was just 64 years old. Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research is the only UK charity dedicated to improving the lives of patients with all types of blood cancer, including leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma. Clearly this is a cause close to my heart, and every penny raised will go straight to them. 

So why am I cutting off my hair? Well, I found myself complaining about it just a little bit too much, and then it occurred to me that somewhere there's a young person who has suffered or is suffering from cancer who would just love to be in my position.  

By sponsoring me to cut my hair off, not only will you be contributing to vital research, you'll also have the joy of knowing that somewhere a kid can be spending hours in front of their mirror before a night out, just like they should be. This donation will allow a young person a dose of normality in an otherwise tragically abnormal life.
