Story
Jamie was taken from us all in April 2018 after a 10 month battle with cancer. Throughout his battle, Jamie remained his true self, positive, putting the needs of others before himself and he fought so hard. In the last two weeks of his life he was cared for by St Peters Hospice, he was so grateful that they took him in and cared for him and us, for the first time it wasn't about medical treatments, they cared for all of his and our needs, they made it a place where our girls could sit for hours just being with him - we could never thank them enough. I am running this 10k because it is being held in a place that was special to us as a family, Jamie loved running and I want to raise money for the hospice. Anyone who knows me, knows that I am not a natural runner! I am training a lot as I am determined to get around the course without stopping or walking and within an hour and 10 minutes - I know Jamie will be with me on the day, cheering me on - I want to make him and our girls proud. Please sponsor me, it doesn't matter how much - every pound goes into making sure St Peters Hospice can continue to be there for families when they really need it the most ❤❤
