Story
Our boy Rhys sadly passed away this year. He suffered from a brain tumour, which was untreatable towards the end. He went on to have an operation to have the tumour removed, once the tumour was removed rhys was still unwell. He was in the royal Marsdon for 3 weeks, before he passed. When he was there he was cared for and looked after in the most amazing way!
As some of you may know rhys was the sort of boy that would walk in a room and just put a smile on any ones face, he was such a gentleman and a very kind hearted boy. He never failed to make me laugh, and all of you will agree that he was not shy of his food and just loved his chicken and doughnuts! Ever thrusday he would take the boys to Krispy creme and would get a box of chicken and 12 doughnuts without fail!
Rhys mum Audrey is the strongest woman I know, and the bond that rhys and his mum had was amazing! Me and Audrey have grown a very strong friendship throughout this year and that is something that will never fade. I want to give something back and show people and my self that no matter what, you can also be strong and powerful and make people proud.
I want to do this for him, his family and friends! He would be so proud! ‘I will always love you’
I also want to raise money for my amazing mum who suffered from cancer for 2 years. Who was diagnosed with bowel cancer 2 and a half years ago and received excellent care and treatment from the Royal Marsden. She is a very strong and powerful woman and means the world to me, she will also be so proud! My mum has the biggest heart and running is her passion, by me doing this event will make her so happy and show her that I support her in anything she does!
I look up to my mum and I am so proud of her!
I want to do this event for people that have been affect by this and try and make a difference. What myself and my friends and family have been through over the past years have been horrible, but by giving back just a bit will help others and make a difference.
