Story

Thanks for making it this far!!  You absolute star.

I just need 1 more minute of your time I promise :-)

You don't know Sebastian Whatton from Birmingham but he is the best friend of my daughter, Darcey.

Unfortunately Sebby is not feeling well, you see he was recently diagnosed with Leukaemia.  He is only 3.  You don't need to be a parent to understand how the Whatton family must have felt when they received the news.

The Birmingham Children's Hospital are desperately trying to raise £4 million for a new cancer treatment ward (Children’s Cancer Centre Appeal), to provide hope and support to kids just like Sebby and I need your help to get them a little bit further.   I am doing the hard bit! :-)

In September I will be solo climbing Mount Triglav in Slovenia.  over 10,000 feet of dangerous, unstable mountain in the Alps.  To reach the summit, climbers, without a harness, have to free climb over ferrata rockfaces hundreds of feet above the valley.  Red markers show where individuals have failed in the past...

However, this is nothing compared to the four years of cancer treatment Sebby and other children have to endure. Please donate, even a £1 - if we don't look after the institutions which care for our children, who will?  The donate button is right there >>>>

You just need to click donate and follow Sebbies journey with his trusty sidekick Mr Moo at https://www.facebook.com/SebMrMoosDiary?fref=ts

I know that everyone who reads this page will have been affected by cancer in some way, it seems every time I speak to a friend or a family member this horrible disease has reappeared.  Well, not this time.  Let's get this ward built and make sure the life saving treatments are available for every child who needs them.

Please share the absolute hell out of this page!!  I saw people sharing a photo of a cat on Facebook the other day so get this shared!!

*If you want to see a bit more of Mount Triglav then check out the photo album.

If you want to share my Facebook page it can be found at https://www.facebook.com/pages/Epic-Trek-for-Charity/200391646668822?ref=hl  and you can see the history of the Epic Trek and let everyone know about Sebby and his journey.

About the charity

It's bewildering and unsettling for anyone going into hospital but especially for children and that is why we are a fundraising hospital. We raise funds to enhance the experience of our patients by providing state of the art medical equipment and facilities and creating a child-friendly environment.
