My 50th birthday is just around the corner. I have been lucky to have parents who believe in education and supported me in all that I wanted to do. I've had extraordinary opportunity to live and work all over the world and as a result, I find myself in the privileged position of having all that I need and want.

The young people that Venture Scotland supports are not so lucky. Many of them come from backgrounds of poverty or abuse. Venture Scotland transforms their  lives through outdoor education. They learn skills, personal responsibility, trust and confidence and for many of them their experience is a turning point enabling them to recognise then potential and become contributing members of society. 

Thank you for honouring my 50th by helping an organisation  whose mission reflects one of my core values.
