Chuckle, is Laura's right stump. she met him in 2014 after an above right knee amputation.
Laura not knowing what to do with herself for three months after the operation was asked to perform at an event which inspired her to dance again. Later that year she asked a friend, Junior Williams to collaborate and write a song for this dance piece to develop it and it was performed at Sadler's Wells Lilian Baylis Studio for Equals Dance (November 2015) and Equation Dance (March 2015), celebrating disabled artists in Dance.
The Track name is Finding My Strength by Junior Williams and Simon Kusnierek aka JK featuring Laura Dajao
In 2017, after dancing for other companies decided to revisit the song and started developing a new solo piece after being inspired even more by it. And finally after years of it being made it looks like she'll release it in December 2017!
This page is for those who support her cause; Giving back to the MS Society UK who have been able to be there and support her through her dance career and personal health tribulations.
Like Tesco says, Every little Helps!
It'll be great if you you can - no amount is small, and it contributes to the great work of the MS Society UK. If you can't donate money wise not to worry, support comes in many forms, even if it's just following here and the song one social media or subscribing to her mailing list to keep up to date with the progress of the song.
She hopes to have an event in December to mark the release of the song - a night of music and dance, and in the spirit of Christmas - good will to all!!
Any donation is appreciated, feel free to spread the word and share via your networks of friends, family and colleagues!
Updates about the event will appear via social media so do follow!
